Advertising has had a major role in some of the greatest accomplishments of the 20th century - from winning World War II (Buy War Bonds!) to cleaning up the environment (Give a Hoot...). Art Directors, Strategists and Media Planners didn't do it alone, but is pretty clear it wouldn't have happened without them.
Racial injustice - one of today's greatest challenges - was centuries in the making. Using Causewave's 2018 study of representations of race on local news media - Shaping our Stories - Todd Butler, Causewave's CEO, will share some thoughts on why - and how the field of advertising can once again be a force for good, and improve things for all of us.
